Thank you for playing Flock, a cosy single-player sheepdog puzzle game made by Karl Burns. This policy explains, in plain English, how the app handles your information. The short version is happily simple: Flock does not collect any personal data from you.
At a glance: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Flock works fully offline and makes no network connections of its own. Your game progress and settings stay on your device.
None. Flock does not ask for, gather, or transmit any personal information about you. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.
The app does save your game progress and settings — such as which levels you have completed and your sound and music preferences. This is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and we never see it. If you delete the app, that saved data is removed with it.
Flock has no analytics, no advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Flock contains no third-party SDKs and shares nothing with third parties.
The one exception is Apple's own purchase processing. Flock offers a single optional in-app purchase, "Unlock the Whole Farm." When you choose to buy it, the payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives or stores any payment or card information. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, you can restore your purchase through the App Store at no extra cost. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Flock is a family-friendly game rated 4+ and is designed to be safe for children. It shows no advertising, collects no data, and is not directed at collecting information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to gather from or about a child using the app.
Because Flock does not collect or hold any personal data about you, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. The only data the app keeps is your own game progress and settings, which live on your device and are entirely under your control — you can clear them at any time by deleting the app.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you have rights under UK data protection law. Since we hold no personal data about you, those rights are naturally satisfied, but you are always welcome to get in touch with any question.
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date shown at the top. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect meaningful changes, but any updates will always be posted here.
